How to Wash Custom Printed Shirts So the Design Lasts

A little care goes a long way. These general tips help most printed shirts keep their look. Always follow any care instructions provided with your order.

Washing

  • Turn the shirt inside out before washing.
  • Use cool or cold water and a gentle cycle.
  • Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers on the printed area.
  • Wash with similar colors.

Drying

  • Low heat or air drying is gentlest on prints.
  • Avoid very high dryer heat.
  • Take the shirt out while it is still slightly damp if you can.

Ironing

If you need to iron, turn the shirt inside out or place a cloth over the design. Do not iron directly on the print.

Storage

Fold or hang printed shirts instead of stacking them under heavy items when the print is new.
